A FREE MAN!

I guess you can say I'm an average fourteen year old boy. I love listening to music and hanging out with my friends in my spare time. But, my most favorite thing to do is praising God and my savior, Jesus Christ. I didn't always think that way though.

At the age of twelve, I discovered marijuana. I thought it was a cool thing to do and it couldn't hurt me. About a year later, I started getting addicted and started experimenting with other drugs. And everything went downhill from there. I lost most of my friends, started having problems with my family, but worst of all, I wasn't happy with myself. I couldn't go half a day without having to smoke marijuana. Two years later, I stumbled upon this church that a bunch of my friends hung out at. After going there for awhile, I met these amazing kids who are very into the Christian faith. I started to hang out with them and grew a liking to them. I started going to the church to hang out with them instead of going just as a meet-up-place so we could get high. When I was around them I didn't feel the need for the drugs.

Eventually, I decided to quit, and believe me, that wasn't easy. After getting to know them, they took me to this place called The Encounter, and from there my life had changed forever. I felt so alive and so free. I was free of all the sins I have ever committed. My sins are nailed to the cross and never to be seen again. I never knew that God could forgive all the things I have done, but He did. I am a new man. A free man. I have been clean from drugs for seven months and I am never going back!
