The SINGLE GREATEST EXPERIENCE

The journey for the rest of my life began a few weekends ago as I began my walk with Jesus and it all began at the “Meeting Place”. The only prerequisite for my encounter weekend was to bring a pillow, a blanket and an open heart. Upon arriving at the “Meeting Place” I was immediately met by fifty strangers that only days later I would be proud to call my brothers. The comfort and support was immediate and my concerns and misgivings soon were a thing of the past. My first contact was brother Lou who took my suitcase and told me to relax and enjoy the wonderful experience that soon be upon me. The scene had been set and it was Jesus turn to take over the show.

No time was wasted, the love and joy was immediate for a room full of scared and anxious men who were all looking forward to the special gift that awaited each of us. Our first night was symbolic and spiritually moving as we began the first day of our journey. I went to bed that first night with great anticipation of what was to come next and all that could be echoed from the servers was it “Only gets better”.

Morning drew upon us quickly and the events of the day did not disappoint. I soon began to understand how blessed I was to be participate in this life changing experience. Each session had a special meaning and purpose in this journey and so quickly did my heart begin to soften and open up to the possibilities and joy of accepting Jesus Christ into my life. By the end of the second night I was completely at peace with a wonderful feeling inside that would “Only get better”.

My third day on this journey can only be characterized as the single greatest experience that I have witnessed in my life as I walked with Jesus. I received the blessing and gift of the Holy Spirit. I had my doubts it would happen, but the Holy Spirit entered my body and soul with amazing energy in our last session and reduced me to the ground in an uncontrollable sob. I soon realized that these were good tears and that my heart would forever be changed. I am so thankful for this amazing gift and all of the gifts that I have been blessed with in my life to include my amazing wife, children, family and friends. From this experience I have a special place in my heart for Pastor Vin, Pastor Bill, Pastor Jesse and all of my amazing brothers especially Jim, Chris, Lou,Gil, Jordan, and Jacob who gave so much of themselves to make this weekend so special.

Each day since the encounter continues “Only to get better” and I look so forward to the rest of the journey. God Bless!
